Waterfall Vest x Striped Tee

Let’s be totally honest about a few things, shall we? This post was supposed to go up a while ago… as in five weeks ago (where is the monkey covering it’s eyes emoji when you need it?!). We shot this look at the end of September (yep, that long ago) so the open-toed sandals really aren’t the most relevant choice in footwear given that we’re now well into November. I also know that I haven’t filled you in on what’s been going on since the move but I promise to get into more detail on that soon. While we’re at it, I single-handedly finished off a container of chocolate hazelnut gelato while I was writing this but let’s just overlook all of that because it’s Thursday, the week is almost over, and it’s finally almost time to start breaking out the holiday decor (who’s with me?!).

I have been waiting to wear this striped tee since the Nordstrom Sale and I’m so happy that I finally can! It’s such a great basic and is so soft, I had to get it in white as well. The shirt is currently sold out in most sizes in this color combo but I’ve found another striped t-shirt that’s just as cute and on sale. Speaking of the NSale, I missed out on the waterfall cardigan that was whisked out of my cart before I could check out (it still stings a little four months later) so I was happy to get my hands on this one from THML.

We’ve already addressed the shoe situation but in case you live in Florida, need the perfect shoe for a wedding, or just feel like shopping for Spring 2017 a little earlier than most, this classic pair is a must-have. I really like this Mini Houston Satchel from Henri Bendel (#bendelgirl 4 lyfe) and the calf-hair texture is perfect for winter. I believe it’s sold out online but you can still grab one in store.

Thanks for reading!

I always enjoy reading your blog posts! So witty and self-depricating, which makes for a fun read! I actually really love those strappy heels and I want them, even though it’s November! Goodluck with your move…we are still in a mess at my house 🙁

Ha! This look is so cute and still totally relevant for Dallas, where I live, I didn’t think anything of the open toes! Really cute vest, too!

Love this classic look. We are still wearing open toe here in Texas, because it still feels like summer some days.
