Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a great weekend and that your week is off to a good start! We’re about to get a major heat wave in the DC area starting today (in the 70’s) and I’m so excited! It’ll be nice to get a little preview of Spring and not freeze my butt off when I go outside 🙂
If you caught last week’s post, I talked about incorporating pieces into your wardrobe that can transition you from winter to spring. I’m a huge fan of neutrals (assuming you’ve gathered that already) but I love incorporating color every now and then, especially when the weather starts to heat up! I ordered this Free People scarf after seeing it on Rach Parcell, #girlcrush, and I absolutely fell in love with the color! It is a gorgeous mauvy-rose shade and is the perfect hint of pink to an otherwise all-black outfit (you can take the girl out of New York…). My scarf is currently on major sale for less than $30 and is absolutely worth every penny! It’s so soft and is a great piece to to layer over outfits for the next couple months until we can completely go without outerwear! I also picked up these booties recently as a casual alternative to my heeled booties. I’ve wanted flat ankle boots for a while and when I saw the price tag, I couldn’t resist! I’m really happy with them because not only are they cute, they’re so comfortable. I can’t wait to pair them with a flowy, gauzy dress soon!
I’m heading to New York in a few days for my trimonthly
barrage of doctors appointments and I have so much to do before we leave! I’ll be home until Easter so I’m really looking forward to it (sans the needle pricks and hours of waiting room boredom). I haven’t been home since Christmas and I’m feeling a little overdue! Although I’ll be busy, I certainly won’t be out of touch. I have a couple of really fun collaborations coming up shortly and I’m so excited to finally share them with you! Be on the lookout and if you aren’t already, follow along on Instagram for some surprises (hint: giveaway!) within the next few weeks and to keep in touch while I’m away from this lil’ space. Thanks for reading!
