One thing that has become increasingly important to me as I get older is being more conscientious about the products that I put both on and in my body. With my health currently being my largest priority, I’ve been really motivated to eat better, limit the chemicals I ingest, and also take note of what I put on my skin! I believe that living a healthy lifestyle is all about awareness and I’m really trying to pay more attention to the ingredients in the products I use daily.
When Vineyard Hill Naturals approached me about trying out some of the products in their bath and skincare line, I jumped at the opportunity. You may remember from my skincare post that I mentioned that the skin is actually the largest organ in the body. Once I learned that, I realized how important it is to treat it right! Vineyard Hill Naturals products are plant-based and organically created in the heart of California Wine Country. They contain certified grape seed oil and extract, which are recovered nutrient rich by-products of wine making (how cool is that?!) All of their products are also dermatologist recommended and never tested on animals, a.k.a. skin friendly!
I have been using the Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand and Body Wash, and Hand Cream from the Vineyard Hill Naturals line and I like them all for different reasons! I have super dry skin in the colder months and I typically find that moisturizing washes and lotions leave my skin feeling greasy. I loved that both the Lemon Verbena Hand Cream (such a clean scent!) and Milk & Honey Body Wash not only soothed my irritated skin but also absorbed quickly, leaving no greasy residue.
My favorite products from the line are the Lavender Rose Shampoo and Conditioner. I am a huge fan of lavender in general so they may have had an unfair advantage but the smell of both rose and lavender made my shower smell ah-mazing. One thing that I really love is that Vineyard Hill Naturals only uses 100% all-natural botanical fragrances with no synthetics or phthalates. (You can really tell when you smell each product because they don’t have that artificial, headache-inducing scent.) Not only did the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing, but they also left my hair super soft and shiny!
The main issue I have found with leading a healthier lifestyle is that frankly, it costs a lot to do so. I really like that the Vineyard Hill Naturals products can be found at Walgreens and Drugstore.com and are all below $10. For the same cost as the other drugstore brands I was using, I will certainly be switching to the natural and healthier alternative! Find more information on Vineyard Hill Naturals here! Tell me, what natural products do you use?
(A big thank you Vineyard Hill Naturals for letting me try out these products!)
